Anger Management

There’s this friend of mine who is the type that most people I know would avoid.  Every thing this friend said or did, I would always put on my frown, whether  he is with me or not.

This morning I went to a supposed meeting with him, a common friend and me.  There were others there of different age groups, and it just dawned upon me he was treating us, his friends, because it was his birthday.

As I sat in, I was introduced to his Chinese male friends.  As the conversations progressed, I realized that most of them are kind of fond of my friend and realized how much they have come to embrace my friend’s uniqueness.  Either that or because most of them are Chinese christian businessmen. It also dawned upon me that only I was irked by his personality.

Upon realizing this, I have come to conclude that the problem is not with him, but with me.  Though I am not angry with him, there seems to be some suppressed or unchecked anger from within me.  With this, I have resigned myself to be more friendly and accommodating with him even if I find him irritating at times.  He’s just like that and he doesn’t mean any harm whatsoever.

So, I will try to improve this dark side of me. So help me God.
