Boston Kitchen Upgrade/ Project

The daughter broached the idea of her wanting to upgrade the dirty kitchen area in our old house.  Since they have transferred the only real upkeep was fixing the flooring on the second floor with flooring from the third and using thick plywood as flooring with the third floor. Everything else in between was torn down due to infestation of termites.

Anyway, with this project we plan to sink in my budget supposedly for the upgrade of their water tank which around PHP 25,000.  The video below is what we have to work with.

Project considerations.

Inspiration for the counter and/or sink.

We are seriously considering a cemented counter/top at the wall (Mormon side). The counter would be more or less the whole width of the wall.

We will not work with tiles on this, but we might want to fix the tiles on the sink.  We might use glass for backsplash?

We also need to install a p-trap for the sink and fix its pvc pipe.  The sink we will just purchase a metal sink to fit-in on the current whole that is the sink.  The underpart of the sink needs to prepped for future build of cabinet.

We will have tiles for the flooring.

The plastic roofing needs to be replaced with GI roofing, the gap between the roofing needs to be replaced with some wire mesh to keep out rodents.

Plastic Roofing

Gap between roof and wall

We need to move any sign of the laundry out by taking out the floor divider in the adjacent Wash room and see if the washing machine fits in there.

But definitely the kitchen will be void of any traces of laundry.  We need to have the window from the Wash room fixed/replaced with a fixed window.  And an existing exhaust fan installed there.

Oh and a side project that needs urgent attention, we need to fix the flight of stairs between the ground floor landing connecting to the second floor.  Hopefully this will not break the bank.
