Death
Death is the beginning of forgetting..
This passing separates relatives and friends..
Cutting bonds.. Severing ties..
Death is a “move on” signal
Away from comfort,
Away from traditions…
Such is life,
We nurture and we grow.
We build and carryon
Only to leave everything
When we go. Such waste..
We forget our loved ones
halfway through our lives.
That only we can rightfully remember…
Their memories stay only
As long as we are around..
As we try to keep them alive
In our hearts and in our minds..
But when our time has come
And we are set to go
to the great beyond..
These memories would cease to exist
As if they never were..
Just like us, when all those we leave behind must face their creator..
We would be a forgotten memory
A faceless speck of dust
A single drop of water in the ocean..
This passing separates relatives and friends..
Cutting bonds.. Severing ties..
Death is a “move on” signal
Away from comfort,
Away from traditions…
Such is life,
We nurture and we grow.
We build and carryon
Only to leave everything
When we go. Such waste..
We forget our loved ones
halfway through our lives.
That only we can rightfully remember…
Their memories stay only
As long as we are around..
As we try to keep them alive
In our hearts and in our minds..
But when our time has come
And we are set to go
to the great beyond..
These memories would cease to exist
As if they never were..
Just like us, when all those we leave behind must face their creator..
